Established in 2004, Diana Bellgowan, Architect is a small, single-architect practice offering a full spectrum of design services for both commercial and residential projects, including custom homes, residential renovation and additions, historic rehabilitation, health care facilities, retail spaces and restaurants.
It is my belief that each project should be a unique solution created through collaboration, so I work using a team-based approach involving clients, contractors, consultants, and local artisans in the design process. Together we create elegant buildings that meet the intended need; incorporate sustainable construction methods and energy efficient technologies; and use local, renewable materials whenever possible.
What's new?
This month, another restaurant project W.A.L.K. (West Asheville Lounge and Kitchen) has opened for business! W.A.L.K. is neighborhood bar and local hangout and a welcome addition to Haywood Road located in the former Rocket Club building.
And, I'll be teaching two Continuing Education classes at A-B Technical College: one on sustainable interior design for the home, and the other on affordable energy upfits for existing homes.
